Working in NSDC have thrived my life both personally and professionally. NSDC made me realized that excellence is not a destination but a path of continuous improvement, promotion, encouragement and transforming efforts into actions. Culture in NSDC is completely dedicated towards skill upgradation of the people of the nation, touching and making difference in their lives etc. In NSDC we find ourselves working with bright individuals in challenging and simulating situations. Learning is never stopped at NSDC
Working with NSDC family is an amazing privilege.
I feel privileged and honored to be an integral part of team NSDC working towards the national mission of "Skill India". My work revolves around creating and maintaining synergies between different stakeholders for the effective implementation of the skill development projects. I am working on partnerships with Central Government Ministries including working with the Armed Forces. Working at this vibrant organization, I interact with senior officials of the central and state governments in charting out the skilling road map in association with inputs from the industry through the Sector Skill Councils. Post which we work on the ground with nodal officers to ensure if the vision and schemes are implemented in the right way.
Upon Recognition and appreciation of the work, Indian Army pinned me with 'Vice Army Chief Commendation Medal' given to civilians in a very rare case. It was a very special occasion and I hope to collect various such laurels in the future through my hard work and dedication.
Economics Postgraduate, University of Warwick | Economics Graduate: SRCC, University of Delhi : NSDC is an interdisciplinary platform where skills integrates with multiple sectors. At NSDC, one gets in depth exposure of variety of sectors. And that is why there is no typical day in the skills ecosystem. The opportunities and exposure I have been given at NSDC as my first work experience has been tremendous and I will always be grateful to it for kick starting my growth trajectory.
NSDC provides a stimulating and challenging environment coupled with co-operative and excellent team members. As part of the Skill India Team, I had the opportunity to interact with the topmost senior government officials, big industry players and international fund agencies to design and strategize skill development programs leading to economic growth and development of the nation.
I specially recommend young professionals to join NSDC. If one is willing to face challenges, one should apply in creative solutions and grow every day!
NSDC is one of its kind in this country and being the Coordinator for Prime Minister's vision Program - Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY), it has given me immense scope, freedom and the opportunity to contribute in this flagship. I am directly responsible for the mobilization of 24 Lakh candidates, online marketing, project management and process management. I am also working on several other special projects such as the Smart Gram Initiative of Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Kushal Gram Initiative of Commissionerate of Rural Development, Government of Gujarat, Special projects on Juvenile Justice Board, the Skill Training sessions conducted at different CBI wards and for the inmates of Tihar jail have also been successfully managed. We also conducted RPL (Recognition to Prior Learning) at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the first of its kind where 1500 employees were trained across several job roles ensuring that their skills meet the standards and thus mapped to their current job profile. Working at NSDC has been extremely rewarding and an incredible experience for me.
From working with an international aid agency to structure some program on skill development, meeting with the states government officials to align our efforts, and getting skill development centres made on the ground, my life at NSDC is full of challenges and excitement.
With all this contributing that one underprivileged kid in a tribal hinterland being trained and employed, I am never short of motivation to keep me going.
