The Advocacy and Communication team takes a 360 degree view of what NSDC does. From media to marketing and communications, this group covers all. We also provide full support to our training partners who may not have the bandwidth or resources to have a communication team. From television commercials to print testimonials to social media marketing, the gamut of services is as wide as you need.
NSDC was formed to achieve the target of skilling / up- skilling 150 million people by 2022 by fostering private sector initiatives in the skill development space. NSDC, along with the support of its 40 Sector Skill Councils and 300+ training partners, works continuously in collaboration with each other, to create a successful model for the country which is being evaluated periodically for improvement and effectiveness.
NSDC has a robust communications strategy to keep the momentum of the program going and also encourage young people to come forward and get skilled. There is a constant creation of content and marketing material (Poster Campaign, animation video, TVC’s etc.) which is available with NSDC which the partners and all other stakeholders can use to talk about their training program.
NSDC launched its advertisement campaign “Hunar Hai Toh Kadar Hai” with two television commercials which aired in February – March 2014. These TVCs talked about the success stories of real people with real ambitions in the automotive and retail sector, and are available for marketing purpose. Further to this, NSDC also launched a campaign under the theme of 'Chalo Kaam Karein', which symbolizes the overall mission of Skill India i.e. make the youth across the country employable. Furthermore, youth icon Sachin Tendulkar who lent support to Skill India Mission by doing an endorsement campaign to motivate young people to come forward and acquire a skill.
A helpline number 088000-55555 which was announced during the TVC, link potential trainees with the nearby training centres and educate them about the offerings of the program.
